JAXBIZ, the nonpartisan political organization affiliated with JAX Chamber, has endorsed business leader and Navy veteran Nick Howland for the open District 2 seat on the Duval County School Board.

Howland graduated from Duke University in 1995 and entered the U.S. Navy, where he served as a surface warfare officer. Following his military service, Howland worked in business development in Atlanta and Washington D.C., and earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago before settling in Jacksonville in 2007.
